Biography
Irena Hajnsek (Fellow, IEEE) received the Diploma degree (Hons.) from the Free University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 1996, and the Dr. degree (Hons.) from the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Jena, Germany, in 2001.,Since November 2009, she has been a Professor of Earth Observation with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zürich Institute of Environmental Engineering, Zrich, Switzerland, and, at the same time, the head of the Polarimetric SAR Interferometry Research Group with the German Aerospace Center Microwaves and Radar Institute, Wessling, Germany.
