Biography

Mohammad Yusri Hassan (M’09) received the B.Eng. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, U.K., in 1988, the M.E.E. degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor, Malaysia, in 1993, and the Ph.D. degree from Strathclyde University, in 2004.,He is a Professor and the Director of the Centre of Electrical Energy Systems, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UTM. His research interest include power system economics, transmission pricing, renewable energy forecasting, and energy management.(Based on document published on 20 July 2018).

This paper describes a new positive sequence directional element for use in numerical distance relays.
