Biography
Shaahin Filizadeh (S’02–M’05–SM’10) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1996 and 1998, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, in 2004.,Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Manitoba. His areas of interest include electromagnetic transient simulation, nonlinear optimization, and power-electronic applications in power systems and vehicle propulsion.,Dr. Filizadeh is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba.(Based on document published on 5 March 2015).
