Biography

David L. Smith (M'68) received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, in 1971, 1975, and 1977, respectively.,He spent four years with the Air Force Weapons Laboratory supporting research in the areas of electrical lasers and nuclear effects simulation. He is currently a Principle Member of the Technical Staff, Sandia National Laboratories, Albuquerque, NM. He has participated in a large number of research accelerator projects for the national laboratories and universities with responsibilities ranging from design support to project review to lead engineer.
