Biography
Edl Schamiloglu (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Columbia University, New York, in 1979 and 1981, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in applied physics (minor in mathematics) from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 1988.,He was appointed Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico (UNM) in 1988. He is currently Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and directs the Pulsed Power, Beams, and Microwaves Laboratory at UNM. He lectured at the U.S. Particle Accelerator School, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, in 1990 and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, in 1997.
