Biography

Tyler Watson (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) was born in San Marcos, Texas in 1999. He received the BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2020 and 2022, respectively. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Center for Pulsed Power and Power Electronics at Texas Tech University. His doctoral research focuses on explosive pulsed power drivers for high impedance loads, with particular emphasis on a multi-output, compact driver design, and impedance matching optimization. In the summer of 2023, he joined Sandia National Laboratories as an intern with the Advanced Capabilities in Pulsed Power group, where he continues to serve as a year-round intern.
