I. Introduction
In the recent era, the digital revolution has been developed which helps to create very easy access, share information, and processing the data. Even though they had several technological advances, the major challenge is security [1]. After some times, the discrimination of the original image and their manipulated images becomes more difficult due to the advancements in the technology as well as the powerful algorithms that manipulate the images comprising software such as Corel Draw, Photoshop, etc. these types of manipulating the original images into another form are represented as image forgery. The fundamental idea of image forgery is the digital manipulation of the images that are aimed to misrepresent some information from those images. With the help of computational approaches, the manipulations of the images are done and gained more popularity and acceptance in the various application fields such as IT, forensic investigation, medical imaging, intelligence services, and journalism. Also, due to the advent of e-government services, the security of authentic data has more challenges. The data which is in the form of files, documents, images, and voices are vulnerable to the process of manipulation. This creates a wide range of interest amongst the researchers for detecting the forgeries by developing robust approaches. Image tampering can be defined as the process of addition, alteration, or deletion of some significant features from an original image without leaving any clear trace. This image forgery can be done using various techniques.
