Abstract:

With the widespread use of distributed energy and DC load (typical DC load: Data Center), more and more scholars research on the electric energy router, this paper presents a power distribution network with the application of electric energy router. Aiming at the distribution network with typical DC load data center, this paper is devoted to study the structure of the electric energy router used in power distribution network, analyze the advantages of the network structure and the cluster type of electric energy router; Compared with traditional AC distribution network, the reliability requirements of electric energy router are analyzed; The results verify that energy internet needs further study, the key role of electric energy router in energy internet and the reliability requirements of electric energy router. The research results have huge significance for the research of electric energy router and the development of energy internet.

I. Introduction

With the continuous promotion of distributed new energy, energy shortage and environmental pollution, the high penetration of distributed generation, new energy vehicles, energy storage system and DC load, many new problems need to be studied. Power system is developing towards a new stage of “source-network-load-storage” coordination. Power system will become the core and link of the future energy Internet [1]. While the capacity of DC load is growing fast, new requirements for traditonal AC power distribution are proposed. The typical DC load is data center, for the great development of cloud computing and information technology. In the year of 2015, China data center energy consumption is expected to 100 billion kWh. It is expected that the annual electricity consumption of data center will account for 1% of the global average annual electricity consumption in 2020. The power used for data center has become a huge part of DC load and can not be ignored [2].
