I. Introduction
In electrochemical biosensing there are some big universal measurement instruments available on the market, as well as simple and small ones, e.g. glucometers. The first have very good measuring capabilities, but they are heavy and expensive, making them unsuitable for other than stationary, laboratory work. The second ones are very light and portable but the measurements they make are of poor accuracy, and leave the user without possibility of changing the parameters of each measurement. We are trying to place our developed prototype system (GruntMaster 6001) in between of them, linking high accuracy with easy operation and flexibility, along with the possibility of using it in biosensing as a Point-of-Care (PoC) device.
