Transaction Level Modeling Technique in Hardware Acceleration for CT Medical Image Reconstruction

Hardware acceleration is widely used in the medical image reconstruction which is computation intensive. Meanwhile, transaction level modeling has many advantages like very fast simulation speed and is really suitable for early architecture modeling and exploration. This paper introduces the transaction level modeling technique into the hardware acceleration for CT medical image reconstruction. Also, certain architecture exploration is performed.

I Introduction

CT(Computed Tomography) image reconstruction is the technique that reconstructing an image from a series of projections[1]. The technique is widely used in clinic for curing cancer and in industry for nondestructive inspection.
