I. Introduction
There are two well-known techniques of control by braking resistors (BR). One of them consists in using the local information regarding parameters of a generator transient. Such manner is employed at the Zeya Hydro Power Plant (HPP) at present time [1]–[2]. Another method consists in the use of generator slip obtained relative to receiving end of transmission system. The mode permits to fulfill DB much adequately. Really, a control law must consider the real features of transmission system. The distinction of this transmission system is approximate equality in power of sending and receiving parts. Transmission system control can be realized on the basis of individual (local) and mutual slip in fault and post-fault operation modes. Now the mutual slip may be obtained with the use of the so-called phasor measure units (PMU) and satellite communications.
