Biography
Glen A. Wurden (M’95–SM’00) received the B.S. (summa cum laude) degrees in physics, chemistry, and mathematics from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 1977, and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in astrophysical sciences from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA, in 1979 and 1982, respectively.,He is an Experimental Plasma Physicist who leads the Fusion Energy Sciences Team with the P-24 Plasma Physics Group, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM, USA. He has been involved in a wide variety of innovative plasma confinement concepts around the world, including the CHS and LHD stellarators in Japan, the ASDEX tokamak in Germany, and the NSTX and Alcator C-Mod tokamaks in the USA.
