Biography
Shinya Sugiura (M’06–SM’12) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in aeronautics and astronautics from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, in 2002 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics and electrical engineering from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2010.,From 2004 to 2012, he was a Research Scientist with Toyota Central Research and Development Laboratories, Inc., Aichi, Japan. Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo, Japan, where he is the Head of the Wireless Communications Research Group.
