Biography
George R. Tynan received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1991.,He spent several years studying the effect of sheared flows on plasma turbulence on experiments with the Federal Republic of Germany and the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, Princeton, NJ, USA. He then returned to UCLA, where he helped develop a concept for a new fusion experiment currently under construction. He joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California at San Diego (UCSD), San Diego, CA, USA, in 1999, after spending several years investigating the application of low-temperature plasmas to the creation...
