Biography

Michael Bruce Schulman (M'92) received the B.A. degree in physics from Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1982, 1984, and 1988, respectively.,From 1994 to 2001, he was employed by Eaton Cutler-Hammer, working on advanced development and electromagnetic modeling of vacuum interrupters and air breakers. His experience in discharge diagnostics includes optical and VUV spectroscopy, LIF, plasma-enhanced photoemission, and high-speed photography. He has worked on the development of discharge lamps, diamond films, electromagnetic launchers, vacuum interrupters, and photoionization gas sensors.
