Biography
Esther Villar-Rodriguez received the B.Sc. degree in computer science from the University of Deusto, in 2010, the M.Sc. degree in computer languages and systems from the National University of Distance Education, Spain (UNED), in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication technologies from the University of Alcalá, Spain, in 2015. She was a Senior Researcher in artificial intelligence with TECNALIA, Spain, specialized in shallow learning and deep machine learning models, distributed privacy-aware learning strategies (including federated learning), reinforcement learning, and outlier detection.
