Abstract:
Electrical energy is included in the primary needs that also play a role in supporting production activities for industrial consumers and supporting consumer activities in the household environment. However, in the process of fulfilling the need for electrical power, it is necessary to maintain a stable electrical power system at all times. Stability in the electrical power system can be seen through the frequency value. This study aims to determine the response to improving frequency stability in the electrical power system after the addition of the load. This is reviewed from the change in response frequency after a change in load. The design in this study begins with the creation of a line diagram of the IEEE 30 Bus system using ETAP software. Furthermore, in the simulation there are 9 scenarios, namely the addition of a load of 5% of the total load, the addition of a load of 8% of the total load and the addition of a load of 10% of the total load. Where each additional load has 3 conditions, namely the addition of a load on the swing bus, the addition of a load on the 132 kV bus load and the addition of a load on the 33 kV bus load. After that, the frequency stability response on the bus was seen. The results of the study showed that there was a fluctuation in frequency when there was a change in load. The amount of additional load is directly proportional to the amount of frequency reduction. The greater the additional load, the higher the frequency decrease, conversely the smaller the additional load, the lower the frequency decrease that occurs. In the end, the frequency can reach a stable and normal code.
