Research on Resonant Frequency of Reradiation Interference from Power Transmission Lines below 1.7MHz Based on Characteristic Modes

To clarify the reradiation interference resonance mechanism of transmission lines is the key to solving their passive interference problems. In view of the existing problems in the research methods of passive interference resonance of transmission lines based on antenna theory, the concept of eigenmode is introduced in this paper. Then the electromagnetic scattering problem of transmission lines under external excitation is transformed into the analysis its characteristic modes and related parameters. From the perspective of electromagnetic energy, the resonance mechanism of reradiation interference of transmission lines below 1.7MHz is explained, and the correctness of the method in this paper is verified by comparing with the IEEE standard.

I. Introduction

The increasing number of UHV (Ultra High Voltage) power transmission lines (PTL) is causing more and more reradiation interference to adjacent radio facilities. According to the existing research results [1], clarifying the resonance mechanism of reradiation interference from PTL is a key problem to solve the reradiation interference.
