Abstract:

Military is the most vital asset of any country; they are in need of speed and secure information exchange to carry out effective military operations. Establishing communication links to marine units and ground operation units giving the benefit of joint mission operation. The main objective is to design the system for commander in charge of the mission to monitor the position and status of the soldier during the military operations (Land and Water) in a secure manner, where the technique can be used for both water and land communication. To attain this objective, it is proposed to develop a system comprising of land and water communication. Most existing work of underwater communication and land transmission face many new challenges making it difficult for delivering information from transmitter end to the receiver end efficiently. Several tests alternative methods are put into research to which the proposed system can be put under use. This System eliminates the losses due to attenuation, turbidity of water, multipath, delay and reduce the bit error rate with the use of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) by channeling it into appropriate frequency and increases the overall throughput. The system focuses to eliminate maximum errors that may occur while establishing the communication link. The proposed system will enable the soldier to switch between land and water communication. The collected data from the soldier’s node in navy operation reaches the base control room by using water as the medium through RF technology. The system enables the soldier to be equipped with the same transmitting technique which has the ability to switch between both land and water communication. Through the proposed method the efficiency, capacity, latency and throughput of the system will be enhanced for faster operation.

I. Introduction

In the 21st century, any successful armies are said to have the best technology of their time. It is very important that our soldiers are provided with the advanced and the most secure technology to carry out any successful military operation to protect our country. The most crucial and important role in any missionary operation is proper communication. The instruction or the mode of communication to the troop leaders and their soldiers has to be secure and resistant to any spoof attacks.so, it is mandatory to establish a threat free, stable connection link between the commander and the soldiers. Several researches conclude that there have been risks about the information threat related to data communication. Another important backbone of any mission is the proper positioning of the soldiers during any operation, it provides insights to the commander on how to approach the target on finding one. It provides a visual insight of the soldiers and the area they are operating upon. Currently the positioning of the soldiers is communicated through voice command that is considered to be not that effective when involving a large number of troops involving multiple operating units. On providing the location of the soldiers from both the ground force and the navy force, the commander can make more clear and immediate decision. The data gathered from the soldier has to reach the base securely without any delay from both ground operating unit and navy operating unit. Since the military will be provided with a predefined number of satellites, there is a high probability of satellite trafficking. Hence all the data from various sources reach the satellite at the same time leading to a higher risk of data loss. So, it must be made sure that the data from the ground unit and navy unit travels separately and reaches the base station. On the intrusion of any activity the soldier must have the necessary gadget to immediately inform about the event to the commander or the troop leader. Through which the leader immediately decides and direct the troop to the corresponding informant’s GPS location.
