System Architecture and Key Technologies of Internet of Vehicles Pilot Area

IoV pilot areas, as the joint of Internet of Vehicles (IoV) industry from close to open scenarios, have attracted increasing attention in recent years. The paper reviewed the construction of Chinese national IoV pilot areas with emphasis on networking environment architecture and service system. Key technologies, such as C-V2X, multi-source data fusion, RSU deploy method and information security are vital for development of IoV. Thus, more attention should be paid on Research and Development (R&D) and application in Pilot areas, which provide strong support for verification and commercial application, will play an important role in IoV industry with time.

With rapid development of new generation communication technologies, artificial intelligence technologies and automatic driving technologies, the automotive and transportation fields are facing a new round of innovation and business model reform. Intelligent connected vehicles (ICV), IoV, as main research and development directions, has gained wide social and academical interests [1].
