I. Introduction
Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have been widely deployed in numerous energy storage applications, owing to their high energy density, low and falling cost, and long cycle life [1]. Actually, the LIBs’ capability for energy storage and power supply generally degrades with the cyclic charging and discharging operations in real applications. The performance degradation of LIBs inclines to cause unexpected results, such as accelerated aging, failure, and even catastrophic loss for electric power equipment.
