Abstract:

Study and prevention of transmission line corona noise has become an important means to effectively promote the environmental friendliness and energy saving of transmission line. Studies have shown that using hydrophilic coating treatment on the conductor surface, so that under the condition of precipitation, the rainwater can be evenly distributed on the conductor surface to reduce the formation density of water droplets, which can weaken the impact of raindrops on the curvature radius of the conductor. As a result, less distorted electric field and soft noise were produced, leading to reduce corona noise ultimately. The greater hydrophilicity of the conductor surface, the more significant the reduction of corona noise is. In this paper, experiments have validated that the modification of nano aluminum oxide by electron beam radiation graft technology can improve its surface reactivity, promote its dispersion and bonding ability in RTV rubber matrix, and then elevate the hydrophobicity, mechanical properties and aging resistance of modified RTV silicone rubber. In addition, specific properties of thermal conductivity and hydrophobicity can be improved by further adding functional monomers.

I. Introduction

As an important part of power transmission and transformation project, substation plays an indispensable role in power grid operation. However, with the rapid development of urban construction and the buildings in residential and commercial areas are more and more dense, substations are also getting closer to residential and commercial areas which leads to noise pollution caused by the substation becoming more and more serious. Studies have shown that the harm of corona noise to human body mainly includes the following aspects: affect hearing, and even cause temporary deafness in extreme cases, affect the communication among staff, hinder the normal work, interfere with people’s rest, making people feel tired, which can easily cause safety accidents. In addition, the generation of audible noise also brings the power loss of transmission lines, which seriously affects the economy of transmission lines. Therefore, study and prevention of transmission line corona noise has become an important means to effectively promote the environmental friendliness and energy saving of transmission line.
