Abstract:

In view of the present problems encountered in the command and control system, such as lack of scientific and complete indicator system for the human-computer interactive usability, absence of the relevant evaluation model, deficiency of quantitative method of results evaluation, and unavailable comprehensive and quantitative evaluation of the results from tested system, this work analyzed the influence elements of human-computer interaction for command and control system, to build the hierarchical evaluation indices systematically. Ausability evaluation model of human-computer interaction is proposed, which can be used to find the problems of unsafety and inefficiency existing in human-computer interaction of command and control system. Iterative optimization in the procedure of system development is carried out, in order to improve the human-computer interaction of command and control system.

I. Introduction

With the rapid development of information technology, complex systems and corresponding complicated scientific problems have attracted the attentions. Due to the characteristics of complex information system, in terms of large amount of various information, massively hierarchical information relationship, and complex operation procedure[1], it has high requirements on the task operators in many aspects. At present, the developers usually only pay attention to the realization of functions, but ignore the users' experience, resulting in the applicable system without convenient operations. As a typical complex system, the command and control system has been extensively applied in military, civil aviation and among other fields, of which the human-computer interaction usability is related to the effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction of users when using the system. It has been found that the current evaluation system of human-computer interaction usability for command and control system is inadequate, and there is no comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the human-computer interaction usability of this class of system. In this light, this work proposed an evaluation indicator system and model to evaluate the usability of the human-computer interaction for command and control system, which can be used to find the problems of unsafety and inefficiency of human-computer interaction. Iterative optimization in the procedure of system development is carried out, in order to improve the human-computer interaction of command and control system.
