Abstract:

A controller with high performance that can be used for in-wheel permanent magnet motors of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is designed in this paper. The controller contains one FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chip and two DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chips. Two DSP chips can provide power for four independent in-wheel motors of one hydrogen fuel cell vehicle at the same time. The large amounts of sensor data are processed by the FPGA. An edge detection synchronizer is designed to realize real time communicate between DSP and FPGA via XINTF module.
