Abstract:

On the basis of the theory of generalized electromechanical converter the mathematical model of a special induction motor with a double squirrel cage rotor that is presented in the form of a system of ordinary nonlinear differential equations 11 th order. The implementation of this model in MATLAB / Simulink is offered. The adequacy of the obtained model is substantiated by checking its parametric sensitivity and stability of the solution when choosing different numerical methods of integration of systems of differential equations.

I. Introduction

Nowadays induction motors (IM) is widely used in various industries. According to statistics, up to 70% of all electrical energy, which is converted into mechanical energy of rotational or translational motion, is consumed by an induction motor [1], [2]. Widespread use of IM is primarily due to ease of maintenance, operation, simplicity of design, low cost, high reliability, ability to automatically change the torque according to the change of momentum on the shaft, high efficiency and safety, with minimal maintenance [3]-[6].
