Abstract:

Online course is a promising education paradigm to offer easy-to-access knowledge for everyone. However, the overemphasis on online education may lead to the fragmentation of knowledge and distract attention away from the on-campus courses for the student. To tackle this dilemma, we investigate the Flipped Classroom teaching model by combing the advantages of online and on-campus courses in this paper. We study the multi-dimensional design for blended teaching, including course content, digital questionnaires and teaching plan. Specifically, we conduct a case study on a professional course of engineering majors, Signal and System, to establish the teaching platform. Education experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed teaching method, which provides an important reference for other curriculum construction.

I. Introduction

In 2020, the sudden epidemic disrupted people’s work, study and life. In order to ensure that students continue to attend classes without returning to school, educators around the world have actively developed online teaching systems. Online learning projects have many benefits, among which the biggest advantage is continuity. Continuity means that students can choose where and when to get education, so as to ensure the continuation of the classroom.
