Abstract:
General. Mr. President and gentlemen, with your kind permission, instead of rending the paper as such, I will give a descriptive lecture, using slides based on the subject matter. The operation of turbo generators is associated with guarantees of temperature and electrical characteristics. The temperatures of the machine are dependent upon the heat to be dissipated, i.e., the losses; the thermal conductivity of the materials; the cooling surface and efficiency of the ventilating system, whilst the electrical characteristics are primarily a function of the magnetic and electric loadings associated with the excitation.
