Abstract:

Wireless power transfer (WPT) system becomes a truthful technique to avoid cabling and the hazards of electric shock rather than the limitations of plugs compared to the number of devices in any place. In addition, the flexibility of using such technology is way comfortable than the classic way of connecting devices into the charger, where it is obvious that from the mechanism of wirelessly charging itself when the device it is just placed or unplaced to be charged or not, otherwise plug or unplug for charging the devices. Furthermore, Internet of Things IoT interfering in the technology with its all strength and become popular, so all the devices that used this technique need to be wirelessly charged to be in the same line with the need of them along with taking in consideration the usage of these devices as long as it is possible. Thus, this paper presents a comprehensive view of WPT system inductively coupled with some mathematical model derivation for some basic compensations and design of a system that has high power transfer efficiency with constant voltage and constant current as well by compensating the inductive coils with some basic compensations. Also, focuses on the delivery of power stability over vibrations of distances.

I. Introduction

Wireless power transfer WPT system is one of the critical technologies that a human has discovered and improve it phase by phase over the years. The power transmission was there in front of the human being eyes’, yet we could not see it and get use of it for many reasons. The simplest example of power transfer is the sun light transfer, where the sum light travels through the space to reach to the earth and to be used by many systems, where different system can benefit from it by converting this power onto some sorts of energy that fulfil the required matter such as to be in the form of kinetic energy, thermal energy, or electrical energy. Another form of power transmission, where the power can transfer through the vibration using the ultrasonic technique, the radio frequency RF one form of the power transfer technologies and the laser as well. In short, there are many techniques for wireless power transfer WPT system we can use to transfer power with taking in account that the application that we want to invent or to implement for to achieve our own desire from it. One of the basic characteristics to transfer power is near field and far-field transfer, because this is going to determine the frequency needed to be applicable in any system that we invent. Then, harvesting this power will be clear for us to know how it could be done. The efficiency of that power is something genuine for us to reach and fulfil from any system that we have invent before either. Lastly, the advantages and disadvantages of this power transfer technique according to which application we use for will be obvious.
