Abstract:

Guangxi power grid becomes to be a AC&DC hybrid power system configuration after JingZhong HVDC project is operating. AC and DC interaction will be significant for Guangxi power grid operation because of load center as well as important power transmission line. This paper has built an AC&DC hybrid real-time simulation platform of Guangxi power grid and carried out a set of simulation researches for Guangxi AC&DC hybrid power grid operation, such as complex AC fault, special system protection closed-loop test and T-line protection verification near inverter station.

I. Introduction

The power station of the JinSha River middle reaches which sent to Guangxi was put into production in June 2016 (‘JingZhong HVDC’ for short),the voltage level is s 500kV, transmission capacity is 3200 MW. The DC project starting in the JinGuan station in LiJiang of Yunnan province and ending in the GuiZhong station of Guangxi province, and the length of the DC line is 1139km.
