Abstract:

This paper presents progress made on the development and execution of an airborne measurement campaign to investigate the characteristics of synthetic aperture imagery from a passive system utilising DVB-T illuminator of opportunity at varying bistatic angles. A passive DVB- T receiver system was developed and flown around a target scene. A dataset of SAR images was produced with varying bistatic angles. This paper presents the first results and shows a visual investigation of image features. A point-like target within the image scene was identified in order to compare echo intensities at varying bistatic angles.
