Abstract:

The recent advent of electronic commerce has made it possible for people to use cyberspace for shopping. Commercial activities in such open network environments provide benefits to both the consumer and the vendor, and opened up many new opportunities for all. An electronic payment system is the most important payment scheme in electronic commerce and can be classified as the electronic cash system and the payment broker system. Electronic cash provides the user anonymity during a purchase. However, anonymous electronic cash is vulnerable to fraud and criminal acts, such as money laundering, perfect blackmailing and illegal purchases. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to solve the problems that the anonymity can bring and the problems following the anonymity control methods, to add a divisibility function. Also, a modified blinded KCDSA signature method versus the original national electronic standardized algorithmic KCDSA electronic protocol is proposed and an electronic money system using such a signature is proposed.

1. Introduction

A currency revolution has occurred with the appearance of credit cards compared to the currency world represented by coins and bills. The so called plastic money has become so popular today that every citizen has one or more credit cards at their hands. Nowadays, due to the development of computers and information telecommunications, balancing means replacing the paper money such as credit cards, electronic money transfers and internet banking are becoming very common. However, when using these types of settling means, there is the risk of exposing one's credit card number to unknown parties and risking it being used by criminals. Real money deals with the movement of actual pieces of paper or gold, therefore it can't be considered as information. For this reason, there is an increased demand of electronic money that can be used in a network based world such as the internet.
