I. Introduction
The purpose of fault diagnosis is to determine the fault sections and fault types. First of all, the process of fault diagnosis will analyze the fault information which including the alarm messages of the protective relay, the state change messages of the circuit breaker and the messages of the line voltage, current and electric parameters. Then according to the topology of power grid and the working experience of operators, the fault diagnosis program makes inferential judgment. With the development of power grid technology, the electric power department began to realize the management mode of unwatched by remote operation technology. So the demand for fault diagnosis of power grid is further improved. In order to realize the intellectualization of fault diagnosis and related information system, this paper proposes a grid fault diagnosis system framework based on multi-agent system (MAS) [1][2]. Through example analysis, it is verified that the framework improves the flexibility and expansibility of the fault diagnosis system, and further realizes the intellectualization of the system.
