I. Introduction
The natural reserves of fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal are continuously depleting. Hence, research of alternative, renewable energy sources is a priority. Hydrogen (H2) is a widely abundant element in our environment as it forms water and hydrocarbons. When used in H2 fuel cell electric vehicles it produces zero emissions [1]. Hydrogen is a colourless and odourless flammable gas. Therefore, safe storage, transportation and refuelling requires numerous H2 leakage detectors.
