Abstract:

Services computing utilizes service-based technology to build IT services systems. A comprehensive understanding of service-based engineering framework is fully needed to build and to deliver the systems. This article outlines the proposition and the evaluation of services computing systems engineering framework based on service oriented architecture (SOA) principles. This framework is used as a guide to build services computing systems based on SOA. A maximize function-based analysis model is built to examine the feasibility of the framework and represent the optimization model of the processes. The findings indicate that the proposed framework can be well implemented in building the systems. The results show that the proposed framework satisfies the implementation requirements of the SOA principles. Furthermore, the analysis model demonstrates good results throughout the whole stages of the framework. This article contributes to practical knowledge in providing a systematic guide to build service-oriented systems.

I. Introduction

Services computing system is defined as a complex system, which involves the interaction, composition, and collaboration among IT services, as well as the interaction and dependencies between users and service providers (Sps) [1], [2]. Chen et al. [3] described service computing system as a group of interacting IT services that do not only focus on the technology of service computing and IT infrastructures but also pay attention to the performance of the IT services. Moreover, Ye et al. [4] described service computing system as a complex system that consists of various services that can be consumed by users by integrating individual services into composite services to meet the complex requirements of users. It can be summarized that service computing system is a service system enabled by service computing technology.
