Abstract:

On the verge of the 5G revolution, the telecommunication industry is working on big data and higher data rates, high quality services and higher quality experiences, smart life and smarter phones. Innovations in wireless technologies have made communication and connectivity parts of everyday life. Device-to-device (D2D) communication has emerged as a key technology that promises high data rate transmissions to collocated users, extended network coverage, efficient spectral usage, and improved energy efficiency [1]. D2D facilitates direct transmission between devices without traversing content through the base station [1].
