Abstract:

In the cyber physical system (CPS) for distribution network, the increasing amounts of communication modes and distributed generations have a complex impaction on the safe operation of the distribution network. Therefore, there is an urgent requirement to research on the system construction and operation characteristics of the CPS for the distribution network. This paper introduces the key practice technologies in the CPS for the distribution network. Firstly, five typical characteristics in CPS for the distribution network are specifically analyzed, then from the perspective of complementation between digital and analog simulation, we expound the framework of a digital-analog distribution network co-simulation platform of CPS. Furthermore, several application scenarios aimed at multi-source information in the CPS distribution network are particularly introduced, which are used to verify the effectiveness of CPS theory and characteristics. In the end, we turn the research contents into application results, introducing the demonstration located in Xiamen distribution network.

I. Introduction

Modern distribution network is a complex large-scale network, composed of physical network, information equipment and computing unit. It presents the characteristics of time-driven and event-driven coexisting, communication diversity and network security problems highlighting. In order to realize distributed power system optimal controlling and cooperative controlling with power grid, it is bound to increase the number of communication facilities. In addition, transmitting and identifying information flow accurately and interconnecting between primary equipment, controlling terminal and multilevel controller can be implemented [1]–[3]. Because of the great uncertainty of the distribution network planning and operation with complex topology, it is essential to develop the theory related to distribution network. Improving the controlling type from master-slave mode and fragmented mode to panoramic mode and fine mode meets the needs of the distribution network development in the future.
