Estimation of micro-Doppler parameter based on adaptive PWV-Hough transform

In this paper, the micro-Doppler model of simple harmonic micro-motion is constructed. The selection of the adaptive Pseudo Wigner-Ville Distribution (PWVD) window length for the micro-Doppler signal is investigated. Then, an estimation method of micro-Doppler parameter is proposed based on adaptive PWV-Hough transform. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

1. Introduction

With the improvement of advanced sensors and signal processing technique, measurement and analysis of target micro-motion have been a hot topic currently [1]. Micro-motion can lead to the variation of distance between the equivalent scattering center and radar. It causes frequency-domain modulation in target echo, which is called micro-Doppler effects [2].
