Abstract:
In the power grid lacking conventional power sources for black start, adopting wind farm as a power source for black start is a beneficial attempt. With Jangsu local power grid as research object in China, and combining with the special geographical and demand of the local power grid, a black start scheme using permanent-magnet synchronous generator(PMSG)-based wind farm as black start power is proposed. The diesel generator is used as an external supporting power in this scheme, which provides voltage and frequency reference for the black start isolated network system, then the self-starting of Huarun(HR) wind farm is realized under the support of diesel generator, and HR wind farm with diesel generator is used to start the adjacent auxiliary of Tianying(TY) thermal power plant finally. The simulation analysis the transient process of wind farm self-starting, the empty charge of transformers and line, and auxiliary startup of thermal power plant, which provides the necessary theoretical foundation for the black start filed experiment of local power grid.
