Abstract:

A mathematical model of the process of gasification of wood waste, which takes into account the heating step, drying, pyrolysis, combustion, recovery, and the connection between them was made. Modeling allows to determine the design parameters of the installation, the main technological parameters of the work and to forecast the parameters of a mixture of combustible gases at the exit of the gasifier.

I. Introduction

The major part of wood waste is recycled inside the woodworking and wood processing enterprises by burning in furnaces with the receiving of heat energy [1]. However, the portion of the wood waste must not be burned because of contamination various polymer inclusions, which when combusted produce toxic substances. The sources of such wastes typically include enterprises producing furniture, doors, window frames, etc., are often located within in the city or nearby, which is another reason for not allowing the use of traditional methods of processing. Another problem with thermochemical processing is the heterogeneity of the waste moisture content, resulting in decrease of the heat of combustion of the waste and instability of the process of thermochemical treatment of by incinerati [2].
