I. Introduction
COGNITIVE radio (CR), also known as dynamic spectrum access (DSA), has been regarded as one of the key techniques to improve the spectral efficiency of a wireless system. The basic idea of CR is to allow secondary users (SUs) to utilize primary users' (PUs') radio spectrum under the condition that the interference from the SUs to the PUs is constrained. In existing literature, several approaches have been introduced on how SUs should access PUs' radio spectrum: overlay [2], cooperation between PUs and SUs [3], underlay [4], [5] and, sensing based spectrum sharing [6].
