Abstract:

Microwave power transmission is the key of space solar power station. Microwave power transmitting array is introduced firstly. Using Wilcox expansion spatial structure of electromagnetic field is discussed, especially in the Fresnel region. Power distribution is depicted subsequently.

I. Introduction

To mitigate the severe shortage of natural energy sources and ascending concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, the space solar power station (SSPS) has long been investigated. Although still facing significant technical and engineering challenges, a large amounted of passion been devoted into this area over the past decades.
