I. Introduction
Passive bistatic radar (PBR) attracts attention in radar community due to recent rapid growth of wideband and high-power digital broadcasts and communications. To date, various types of PBR are reported. In [1]–[3], PBR using commercial FM broadcast as an illuminator-of-opportunity are reported. Especially in [3], a long range target detection at 285 km away from a receiver is reported. Wideband terrestrial digital television broadcast, i.e. European and Australian DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcast-Terrestrial) and Japanese ISDB-T (Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial), is used to improve and stabilize radar range resolution [4]–[8]. Ubiquitous WiFi signals are used in short range PBR to detect ground vehicles and human beings [9] [10].
