I. Introduction
The importance of education lies in the meaning itself. There's a difference between a (well-informed or well trained) and well educated individual. The difference lies in the purpose of education which is to develop the ability to innovate. In the 21st century, this purpose remains unfulfilled because of the lack of innovation in the education itself. For the contemporary generation, teachers no longer serve to be the ultimate source of information as they have resources which are far more lucrative and informal, available to retrieve anything anytime anywhere. But just the grasping of this information can make them well-informed but not necessarily well educated. The students today want to seek information that stands them apart and through the methods which make them cross the boundary of the obsolete. It is not uncommon to see students using their “devices” for social networking during the lecture itself. This is an indication of the priorities set by the students, for a lecture now is meant only to meet the attendance criteria. Similarly, the priority to complete a “game level” is more than completing the assignment given in the class. So, it becomes necessary to ponder upon the existing curriculum and identify the areas which can bring in the interest and focus on education back for the students. Besides this identification, the existing teaching methods should be scrutinized to identify their merits and demerits.
