I. Introduction
During the process of construction project implementation, kinds of influenced factors make the construction project very complex, which causes big challenges to the project planning and control. Currently, CPM is the major methodology of the construction project planning and control; based on which lots of scholars did lots of extensive research about project planning of resource constraint and multiple targets balance optimization which includes estimation methodology of uncertain activity time, project progress and fee, etc [1]–[3]. However, the methodology is facing more difficulties about mathematical model construction and solve, as the gradually increase of considered factors and constraints. In recent years, as the rise of systematic science and development of computer simulation technology, more and more researches about using DES to do simulation for construction process to help project planning and control come out[4], [5]. However, the support of DES to strategy level problem of project planning and control is still not enough, since the DES focuses on detail operation of each work step of construction process and the model boundary is quite limited. SD is a subject about realize and solve complicated problem, which has a same base theory: control theory, so that it could be applied to project management field. This article will be the introduction of the system dynamics method to the construction project planning and control, the complexity of modem construction projects in order to provide a new way of thinking and methods.
