I. Introduction
Energy crisis is one of the major threats faced by the present world, especially developing countries like Bangladesh. The gap between supply and demand of electricity is one of the major hindrances for economic growth here, especially during the summer, when the power authority is left with no choice but to have scheduled load-shedding of electricity [1]‥ Bangladesh is located between 200 30’ and 260 45’ north latitude and the climate is tropical, which makes her a good recipient of solar energy [2]. Bangladesh has a total area of and an average of solar radiation falls on this land over 300 days per annum [3]. The total solar energy reaching Bangladesh is about 105 times the energy generated as electricity. For these reasons, Solar Energy is probably the best choice as a renewable energy source in Bangladesh.
