Abstract:

The effects of line-length and series compensation schemes on power delivery capabilities have been studied from the point of view of voltage stability. Six different schemes are considered. Considering the effects of power factor, line-loss factor, and varying degree of series compensation ratio, numerical results for critical sending-end power, voltage, and angular separation are given.
