Research on low carbon interior design framework

It is a trend for interior design to use the technique of low carbon interior design, which has great significance for mankind development. This paper will study the low carbon interior design framework system considering human being, nature resource, low carbon material and less pollution, and then design the frame system, which has the characters of low pollution and low emission, based on low carbon interior design. This study will offer theoretical basis for interior design of low carbon development.

I. Introduction

Low carbon life, as creating comfortable living environment concept, has been used by interior designer for designing works since 1990s. Interior design has driven aesthetic consumption from ancient times. However, “consumption” and “low carbon” has become two conflicting concepts in face of modern “low carbon and emission reducing” plan. How to integrate these two concepts together and implement perfect transformation from “high-profile consumption” to “high-profile low carbon” has become hot topic among designers [1]–[2].
