Abstract:

The capacity of Flash on-board is generally small, the data will be lost after SDRAM power-down, and they can not easily transfer the data to a computer. In order to meet with large-capacity storage needs in the image processing system, this paper uses CF card as removable storage media. It mainly introduces the working principle of CF (Compact Flash) cards and the principle of FAT16 file system, achieves the hardware and software design of the DSP and the CF card interface circuit, compile underlying drive of the CF card and FAT16 file system.

1. Introduction

At present, the needs for speed and accuracy of image processing systems have become more increasingly high, and the sampling of data is growing. Hardware resources and the environment is generally more demanding in the embedded system. The memory of embedded microprocessors and microcontrollers is generally no. 1arge. In order to achieve the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) systems run independently, the high-capacity storage medium is needed to save the sampling results. The capacity of Flash on-board is generally small, the data will be lost after SDRAM power-down, and they can not easily transfer the data to a computer. This paper presents a CF card to use as a data storage medium storing large amount of data. [1]
