An Improved Robust Watermarking Technique in Wavelet Domain

In this paper, a simple while robust watermarking algorithm is proposed which can confirm the copyright without original image. The novelty of the system is that the watermarks are generated during the embedding procedure but not predetermined. The original image is transformed using Hear wavelet and flags are created with the secret key. Then the extracted flags using the secret key are compared with the original ones to confirm the copyright of digital products. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed watermarking system has excellent robustness against various watermark attacks including slightly geometric modifications with the high quality of the watermarked image.

I. Introduction

Since the nineties of the 20th century, with the rapid development of internet and widespread of digital multimedia contents, there is an urgency for protecting the digital products from piracy and malicious manipulation. Watermarking systems were put forward as an efficient way to solving the security of the digital contents, and for many years watermarking technology has been a hot issue international academic teams had been working on.
