Torsional Vibration Signal Simulation and Analysis of Dual-mass Flywheel Based on LabVIEW

The torsional vibration of the engine has an important impact on car's safety and ride comfort. Dual-mass flywheel, as a new type component of transmission system can reduce the engine output shaft's torsional vibration effectively. Based on the analysis of torsional vibration waveform, the paper proposes a detection method for DMF and brings forward a virtual instrument simulation test system using LabVIEW development platform. The system can achieve the functions of torsional vibration signal simulation, acquisition and the subsequent analysis of time-domain and frequency domain. Thus it provides a reference method for dual-mass flywheel test of vibration and noise reduction.

I. Introduction

With the social development, people pay more attention to the ride comfort of vehicle. Now the majority of the world's cars are using the piston engine. Variety of shock and vibration together with strong noise caused by the engine, will cause serious physical and mental driver fatigue, affect vehicle driving safety, ride comfort and vehicle life, as well as surrounding environment. Currently, the development trend of vehicle engine is high-power, high-speed, low noise and the state set more and more serious standard of vibration, which make vibration reduction of engine and drivetrain become a priority.
